The First Time I Heard Fergie

The first time I heard Fergie was when I was in
sixth grade. Her song Glamorous just came out and everyone was singing it. I
heard my friend play it off her I Pod, and I really liked it. I thought the
song was very interesting because it was a different type of genre of music
than what I listened to in the past. I normally don’t like rap or hip-hop, but
the song really grabbed my attention. I didn’t know who Fergie was until I
heard that song. I remember riding to a field trip and listening to the song in
my friend’s car. I thought the song was very fun and had a good beat to it. I
think the song represents Fergie well because her style is very cool and
casual. She emphasizes the words in the song so they stand out so people will
find the song likeable. The one thing about Fergie is no
matter how old she may be getting, her songs still attract people because she hooks
people on her songs.
I think Fergie has a lot of potential, and has had a
breakthrough in a couple of her songs. In middle school I also listened to the
Black Eyed Peas. I remember listening to “Where is the love” in science class
when my teacher would always play it. I didn’t know that Fergie was in the band.
Until later, I discovered her song, Glamorous, and realized it was her.
