Fergie

Fergie was born on March 27, 1975 in Hacienda, California. Her real name is Stacy Ann Ferguson but her stage name is Fergie. Her music career started in (1991-). She started out as an actress appearing in commercials before joining the cast of Kid Incorporated in 1984. This show allowed her to show cast her voice to the world. In the 1990's, Fergie formed a pop group with Renee Sandstrom and Stephanie Ridel called Wild Orchid. They released their first album in 1996. Fergie and the band didn't survive very long, and the band ended shortly later. Fergie became addicted to crystal meth and partying. She decided, in 2002, to stop her addition. Fergie's life started to fall back together when she joined the hip hop/pop Black Eyed Peas group. The other members of the group included Will. i. am and Taboo. They released their first album in 2003 called Elephunk. It was a huge hit and one of their most successful songs on the album was "Where is the Love? and Hey mama." They continued to achieve success and the group won a grammy for best rap performance in 2005 and also in 2006. "I gotta feeling and Boom Boom Pow" were two of the very popular songs on their album The E.N.D, released in 2009.
Solo Artist
Fergie wanted to pursue her own experience through music by making her own album as a solo artist. In 2006, she released her album, The Dutchess and reached the top of the charts with her songs, "Glamorous" and "Big Girls Don't Cry". A lot of her songs she wrote over a long time period but was helped with a few of them. Her music genre consists of reggae and hip hop. In 2015, she continues to pursue her career as a solo artist and her newest song that has climbed the charts is "L.A. Love. (la la)"
