Miranda Lambert #4

Little Red Wagon
Madison Clement

My favorite song by Miranda Lambert has changed over the years. To be completely honest, I used to hate her music. “The House That Built Me” is the song that made me first fall in love with her music. My favorite song currently is “Little Red Wagon.” Her performance at the Grammy’s was amazing and I immediately fell in love with the song. My favorite part of the performance was when her husband, Blake Shelton, gave her a standing ovation. “Little Red Wagon” shows Miranda’s country lifestyle. This song reminds me of driving in the summer with my windows down. It never fails to put me in a good mood! The song explains her life, living in Oklahoma, playing the guitar, her blonde hair, and going on the road.

“I live in Oklahoma
And I've got long, blonde hair
And I play guitar, and I go on the road
And I do all the shit you wanna do”

“Little Red Wagon” has an allegro tempo and a distinct tune. The timbre of the song is bright, warm, and sweet.  This song also has consonance because the chords sound right. The unique melody of this song adds to its greatness. It’s upbeat and has easy to remember lyrics, making it the perfect song! This song shows Miranda’s country style and heart! She is truly a country girl and it is very clear in this song. I like this song because it is different from all her other songs. This song shows that Miranda is a risk-taker and not afraid to be different from all the other country artists.
